Modi is Gujarat’s
Dabbang again
As election results pour in, Modi proves his mettle again.
Much like Salman Khan of today, Modi is the Dabbang of Gujarat today. Whatever
he touches turns gold. If this is Dabang 1 then will his innings in central
politics be Dabbang 2 and how well will Dabbang 2 fare at the national level.
All said and done, the so called secular forces will have to take a bow because
Modi model of development has triumphed over 2002 riots and all such trivial
issues that have been made by Congress.
Keshubhai , the spoilsport , has reached his dusk. It shows
that when a state is doing well and the CM is the blue eyed boy of the state ,
egos should not matter. Had Keshubhai remained in the BJP fold , he would
have benefitted. The whole rank and file
of INC including the Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi , Rahul Gandhi and almost all
the bigwigs have said things not befitting their stature about Gujarat and Modi
and have had to eat a humble pie. But politicians that they are , they will
find a solace in some factor like vote share, or increase in a couple of seats,
or the defeat of one candidate of Modi or whatever.
All in all, Congress and all parties including BJP should
take a cue that good governance is the only issue left. Do good for your people
not just show that you are doing good. All this facts about anti-incumbency and
caste based politics are good only when your governance is not good.
Like Salman not being the the poster boy for the media, Modi
also enjoys a hot and cold relationship with the media. Despite all that ,
Salman sells best at the box office today vis a vis all others and same is the
case with Modi.
Over to the national scene, within BJP ,the different voices
opposing Modi will now slowly die down. All people who cried foul including
allies within NDA will have to accept that Modi is the best bet for the PM post
from BJP. The myth that muslims will not vote for him now stands shattered with
Modi winning for the BJP in muslim dominated areas too showing a lack of
polarization. Moreover the fact remains that
BJP remains a party which has lost focus in the previous days. Modi’s
aggression will bring the party back into the stride as the principal
opposition. It is also a fact that even if one ally or two of NDA has an issue
with Modi, the loss of a maximum of 25 seats can be made up by Modi at the helm
of affairs . So it will not make much of a difference.
With all these factors in place and the brave face that
Congress put up before elections needs to go for introspection for having lost
the touch with the masses, remaining a pale shadow of its past.
